about the artist
Welcome to my website! I am an Iranian-born artist and art teacher who has found home, refuge and friendship in Kuala Lumpur for the past 12 years. My artistic journey began as a young child painting alongside my father, who was an artist, calligrapher and musician. Since then, I have strived to live a life committed to continuously learning, exploring and creating.

My teaching journey began in 2016, and I have had the opportunity to teach and learn alongside students of all ages and abilities. I teach in the way that I had been taught by my late father, and I strive to offer the same loving attention that he had modelled for me, with the hope that it will nurture the lifelong love for observation and details that I have inherited.
The Back Room is a space where I share some of my explorations in other mediums such as music, film, or writing.
